Please do not start creating applicant records
on veClient for the 2019 cycle.
The 2018 cycle is still open. We will close the 2018 cycle on Friday May 18 at 5:00 PM EST. We will reopen for the 2019 cycle on or before Monday May 28.
By now, if you had any remaining balance on your account, you should have received your final invoice for the 2018 cycle of veClient. Instructions for paying by credit card or check are on the invoice itself—including links to the payment site if you are paying by credit card as well as the NAAHP address if you are paying by check.
Please remember that when we open veClient for the 2019 cycle you will only be able to access veClient if your charges for 2018 have been paid AND you have paid the $100 annual access fee for the 2019 cycle. If you need an invoice for your $100 annual access fee, please email your request to email@example.com.
You should go ahead and export your list of applicants to a spreadsheet. Refer to the "Instructions for Sending Schools" in the VE Help Center for instructions on doing that. Please note that if you access your veClient account with most any browser, e.g., Firefox, Chrome, Safari, Internet Explorer 8, that function works just fine. But for folks that still use Internet Explorer 7 that function doesn’t appear to work. If you have any problems, just let me know and I will download your list for you and send it to you as an email attachment. But remember when we close out the 2018 cycle, we will purge all the applicant records and neither you nor I will be able to export the list of the applicants you have on veClient. So even if you think you don't need the list you should probably go ahead and export it just in case.
Now is a good time for you to log onto veClient and see if any changes need to be made to which individuals have access to the veClient account for your institution. Send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org with the names and email addresses of any deletions or additions.
No progress with AACOMAS
- Although we’ve pursued integration with AACOMAS, they are unwilling to make this happen and have stopped responding to any of our emails and phone calls. I’ve heard from a few advisors that AACOMAS has also stopped accepting letters through Interfolio. We were told last year that they don’t understand why advisors would want to use any other letter service. We will continue to reach out to them to work out a solution and will keep you all updated on any progress.
- In the meantime we have also reached out to all of our receiving schools asking about their plans to continue downloading from veClient. As I hear back from the receiving schools, I will post updates on the advisor dashboard. When we reopen for the 2019 cycle, schools that have decided not to download from VE will no longer appear in the list of institutions. If you have any questions or concerns about this, please feel free to contact me.
New veClient upgrade coming for the 2019 cycle. We’re nearly done with the newest version of veClient which will be ready when we open the system for the 2019 cycle. The new version will function exactly as the current version does. It has an updated look while maintaining the user-friendly layout of the current version.
